The Landing

This is a detail of the pilings and structure supporting the Vinalhaven ferry landing.  A visit by ferry to Vinalhaven is an hour's trip off the coast of Maine from Rockland, often in a shroud of fog.  Upon arrival you'll find a bustling harbor of lobstermen and working boats.  You. may even share the ferry with an eighteen wheeler coming over to pick up daily shipments of fresh lobster on their way to the mainland.
