Rockland Fishing Pier

Lobstermen & women head far out into the Atlantic every day regardless of weather, working their trap lines.   They gather early in the morning, lowering stacks of empty traps down to their boats.  Lifts stationed all along these stone jetties help when the tide is out and they have to deal with an 11 or 12 ft offset.  It's a gritty, tough life that requires them on the job every day regardless of weather. But great subject matter to paint!
