As we cleared the jetty and were making for open water off Newport Beach on a morning sail, a heavy fog obliterated all detail of shoreline or horizon. Suddenly we came upon the channel buoy, and discovered a cadre of interlopers horsing around. It offered to good an opportunity to fail to capture in paint! I particularly enjoyed replicating reflections in my tribute to Dave Drummond!
