This historic site is where Cherry Creek and the Platte River converge and was the site of Denver's earliest origins. Today it is the site of REI's waterfront pier, a whitewater course, Speer Blvd's arched bridge, and a public park where summer concerts are held. At one time the river was polluted and an eyesore, but over the past decade Denver has cleaned it up to become a jewel of a resource flowing thru Denver's LoDo district.
