This majestic home at 707 Washington in Denver was originally the famous Bonfils mansion, home of Denver newspaper magnate and socialite. It later became the Mexican Consulate and eventually was divided up and condomiumized! In the 90's it was rescued by Dr. Bert Furmansky who has made it his mission to restore it to its earlier grandeur, room-by-room. He has painstakingly recreated and restored every detail, doing exhaustive research from many archive photos. I got to know Bert quite well, helping him with several phases of his ongoing restoration.
